The purpose and goal of this site is to introduce to the Jamaican people a new concept of selecting our political leaders. We strongly believe that the current system is not working in the best interest of the people. If it is not changed there is little hope of us progressing as a nation of growth and prosperity.
To open your mind to some new concepts, allow these questions to float in your mind.
(1) Are you happy with the way you are allowed to vote?
(2) Don't you think you should have the right to vote for an individual and not his/her entire party?
(3) Do you think some politicians should have term limits?
| Let us look at this reality for a minute. America the great, can you imagine if their voting system was like ours what our future would look like. The entire world felt the hands of G.W Bush over the last 8 years. Let's say that Obama were to fail and the people wanted him out. Who would be his replacement if their system were like ours. Can you imagine another 4 years of Bush and his crazy spending. America has seen it fit not to recycle certain politicians for very obvious reasons. Jamaica, it is full time we see the same thing for our future. We must stop this nonsense of going back and forth from one party's leader to the next. If he or she didn't have it the last time, chances are they are not going to have it on the next turn. Let us change the constitution and stop this madness now. click here to read this in large print |
(4) Do you think your vote for a Member of Parliament should also count as a vote for who should be Prime Minister?
(5) Do you think there should be a set time of year when elections should be held?
(6) Do you think we should depose the Queen and select a President as head of State as well as head of Government?
Under the policies of the current system you do not have that right. In order to provide you with such right, the constitution would have to be changed. My dear brothers and sisters, which is more important, the constitution or your right to make a choice? I would have to say change the constitution and give me that right.
We have a proposed plan that we believe will set Jamaica on a path of growth and a return of civil behaviour in our nation. Please take the time to view the proposal. It can be found by clicking here
